Our first boy was born on one of the coldest days ever recorded in Minnesota. We spent most of those early months indoors, and by the time warm weather finally arrived, getting outside made all the difference. Less stress through a little more time outdoors.
One of the first really warm days, we took our newborn to the beach near our house. We had a plan to spend the afternoon there but we soon realized there wasn't a great place for him to relax. He wasn't comfortable laying on a towel in the hot sand, holding him he was too warm and while the car seat had a shade canopy, it was too hot. So in the end we wound up heading home earlier than we wanted.
That night we tried to find a solution online but soon realized that all of the outdoor baby chairs we were finding were designed for kids that could sit upright on their own or didn't have complete shade coverage, so we sketched the first version of what would become, The Breezy Baby. When our second son arrived, we realized this was something we would have wanted twice, so we pushed forward with our mission to create a solution to help parents like us!
The idea was simple: a portable outdoor lounger that gives young infants a completely shaded, breathable place to lounge, so parents can maximize the time outdoors with their little ones.
